Updates?

I've been back home home for the summer holiday, and after all the c.v's I've given out and the possibilities of getting jobs were better than I expected, and out of all the c.v's I've handed out, I've only had one interview, to be fair, it was the one job I really wanted, but I am pretty sure the interview was at the type of level where you can tell if it went well or bad, as the conversation was really friendly, but some of the questions asked, I really struggled with, and of course came the all important speech at the end 'we have more people to interview yet, but we'll get back with you as soon as possible.' I often take that as a bad sign, and now I have to wait till at least Wednesday to hear anything back. I really would like this job - it's at the Odeon cinema chain, as it would hugely benefit my media course, as well as I love going to the cinema, and would be interesting to see how it all works behind the scenes.

So while waiting for a job, I am stuck at home, doing chores and getting really bored. I half wish I was back in Lincoln. Well, full on wish I was back in Lincoln, but lack of monies has made that impossible for this summer. It is nice being back home, seeing people I haven't seen in a while, but when you've lived away from your parents, live independently, you notice a real difference when you move back in with your mum. Rules are suddenly in place, and, well, suppose it is dependent on the mum, but I think mine sometimes forget I'm no longer a child, that she had a 20 year old living in the house, not a 16 year old.

I can't believe how long summer holidays are for university students. Beginning of May until the end of September. It's so long. I remember when college would finish at the end of June, officially, and I thought those summer holidays were a large amount as it is, being used to school at secondary and primary years not finishing until mid July, and then you would go back second week or so in September. I suppose it helps having longer holidays for college and uni students so they have more of a chance to make more money over the summer, but it does drag on...and on...and on.... I am probably finding it must frustrating because of my addiction to the internet, and my current lack of access to it, I am lucky at the moment being able to be online now, but I have so many youtube videos to upload which I can't, cuz this internet isn't reliable enough to do so, so I guess I'll have to wait until September.

Anyway, that's about it for now, with the same boring routine everyday, there isn't much interesting news to put up on here atm, so I'll return when the situation changes!

Over and out.

Almost Third Year Student!!

It's been a very full-filling year, my second year at university. A lot has gone on, I know I've definately put more effort into this one in terms of my work ect, and now third year awaits me. Graduating year. This time next year I will be finishing University for good. This time next year I will be doing my best to search for a job. Scary stuff. Student loans gone (well, 'cept for paying my loan back!), mortages, bills etc here I come! Argh, why can't I be a student forever? LOL.

I am going back to my hometown at the weekend - where I will be out of internet! Argh! So don't know how I am going to cope with that! I am going to have to beg my mum to get internet! At the moment though, I seem to be doing my best to avoid packing my room, ready to be picked up at the weekend. My room is a tip and I need a big sort out in crap I don't need! I have to decide what stuff to keep in Lincoln and what stuff to take back home, just too much to do in the space of a few days!

This weekend just gone, I was in Yorkshire on a photography work experience, taking photos of Landrovers who were on a off-road experience, and I would take photos of them splashing into mud, it was great fun, I had some photos on my digital camera which I was going to put up on here, but unfortunately on a birthday night out with one of my best friends, I re-formatted my camera, not realising that it deletes my photos in the process! Which is really frustrating as I had some nice photos with my dad on a day out in Skegness too! Never mind....I'll get hold of copies of my work somehow.

Then there is my youtube work - I am so behind, and I know there is no-way I am going to get majority of what I want done, done by the time I have no access to internet. The second part of my 'Deception' video, completing my John Locke 'omg I can't believe it' as well as other projects I've yet to start.

I don't start third year to the end of September, so I have a long summer ahead, and a couple of things in this summer to look forward to. Midnight walk in June, LOST convention in August and a holiday in the Lake District early September. In between all these events I need to find paid work and plenty of work experience to contribute to my experienced in the media as well as looking flashy on my CV.

Next year at university I am studying single camera, so hopefully this means I can display more regular work I do at uni online on youtube. If my vids are good enough! Hehe.

Fal out xx
